Town centre, riverside, then a long climb
Woolwich town centre is buses, the market square and two stations pulling traffic in: the Elizabeth line at Woolwich and the DLR at Woolwich Arsenal. Royal Arsenal Riverside is the newer development behind the old walls. Woolwich Dockyard station is to the west, off Woolwich Church Street. South of the town the ground climbs: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Woolwich) on one side, Plumstead Common and Shooters Hill further up.
